About StargazerKit

A one-stop, keyless, ad-free toolkit for amateur astronomers who just want the numbers.

Our positioning

StargazerKit is an aggregation of niche astronomy utilities: moon-phase math, planet positions, meteor and eclipse calendars, telescope calculators, unit converters and more. Everything is deliberately narrow — we don't try to be a full planetarium, a social network, or a marketplace. We just give amateur observers the small computations they need before and during a session.

Service purpose

Most modern astronomy apps hide the good stuff behind sign-ups, paid tiers or API keys. That's fine for professionals — but a curious beginner asking "when is the next meteor shower?" shouldn't have to make a decision about a subscription. StargazerKit is free forever, requires no login, stores no personal data, and every tool is either powered by open public data or by native browser algorithms.

Core values

  • Free and open. No paywalls. No credits. No hidden quotas.
  • Keyless. We never ask users for API tokens; every underlying data source is public.
  • Transparent. Every tool page names its algorithm or data source.
  • Privacy-first. No accounts, no tracking pixels, no personal data collection.

Who it's for

Backyard observers, star-party organisers, astrophotography beginners, science teachers, and anyone who's ever pointed at Jupiter and wanted to know exactly how far away it was tonight. If you already have SkySafari Pro and a paid ephemeris subscription — you probably don't need us. If you don't, welcome.
